In this Texas house kitchen, proprietors Craig Schumacher and Philip Kirk maintained a strategic distance from a broad kitchen rebuild by painting existing cupboards Benjamin Moore Brilliant White and introducing cheap highly contrasting tile on counters and backsplashes. A broad ironstone accumulation floods from racks to dividers. Vintage hearers' seats (recolored coal black) originated from grouped bug markets and collectibles shops.

Designer Gary McBournie made an inconspicuous nautical subject without going over the edge in this current angler's house. Kitchen cabinetry was made by Nantucket furniture creator Carter Mitchell. The open mesh design takes into account ventilation and the covering of apparatuses. Basic board flooring is painted Benjamin Moore's Deep Ocean and scattered in red, white, and blue. Sconces are metal marine fixtures.

Robin Bell designed this kitchen in a 1880s ocean side cabin to join high capacity and agreeableness. An eighteenth century American gather table with unique paint and nineteenth century American shawl-back seats in a split second warm up the great white room, "summon focal of an extremely dynamic family unit," says Bell. Over the island is a fashioned iron pot rack designed by Bell, hung with the customers' "not kidding pot accumulation," purchased on outings to France and Italy.

This straightforward 1939 lakeside bungalow weds current and conventional, and its kitchen, designed by Gil Schafer, takes action accordingly. The floor is painted in Pratt and Lambert's Gunnel. Roof lights are from Urban Archeology, bureau equipment from Sun Valley Bronze. Elkay stainless-steel Farmhouse sink, Barber Wilsons cleaned nickel spigot, Sub-Zero refrigerator.

Designer Ken Fulk utilized pen racks, rather than upper cupboards, to give this 1940s California kitchen a vaporous feel. The racks and ledges are made of stirred metal and the cabinetry is produced using old fencing. Vintage truck springs, utilized as stools, were found at Artifact Design and Salvage. Fulk recognized the vintage mechanical pendant lights at a Paris bug market.
